PayKato for exporters

Built for African exporters and B2B service businesses that bill international buyers and need predictable settlement into a local bank account.

Why exporters need a different flow

Exporters and B2B service businesses don't just sell — they negotiate. Deposits up front, balances on delivery, partial payments across shipments, and currency arrangements that depend on the buyer's preference. The standard freelancer payment link isn't enough on its own.

PayKato pairs invoicing, payment links, and settlement tracking in one place so an exporter can collect a 30% deposit, send a balance invoice on shipment, and reconcile both against a single buyer record.

Workflows we support

Deposit + balance invoicing. Milestone billing across multiple shipments. One-off invoices for sample orders. Reusable payment links for catalogue items.

  • Multi-currency: USD, EUR, GBP
  • Branded invoices with your trading name and tax info
  • Automatic reminders before due date
  • Track partial payments, refunds, and overdue balances
  • Export records for tax, audit, and Form M / NXP filing alongside your bank

Compliance and documentation

Cross-border B2B settlement attracts more scrutiny than freelance invoicing. Your KYB documents, business category, and buyer documentation matter. PayKato collects documentation upfront so the licensed payout partner can settle predictably.

PayKato does not handle export documentation (Form M, Form NXP, shipping documents). Those remain between your business, your bank, and the customs authority. PayKato handles the payment and settlement layer.

Frequently asked

Can I invoice in USD and still receive NGN locally?
Yes. Nigerian exporters can invoice in USD, EUR, or GBP and receive NGN settlement through a licensed payout partner. USD domiciliary settlement may be available for some categories — contact support to confirm.
Do you support large transaction sizes?
Large transactions are subject to merchant category, partner approval, and compliance review. Contact us before sending an unusually large invoice so we can confirm capacity with our partners.
Does PayKato handle Form M, NXP, or export documentation?
No. PayKato handles the payment and settlement layer. Export documentation remains between your business, your bank, and the relevant authorities.
Are reserves applied to exporter accounts?
Reserves and rolling holds are standard in regulated payment processing and may apply to certain merchant categories or transaction profiles. Any reserve is shown clearly on your settlements screen.
How much does PayKato cost?
PayKato's platform fee starts from 1.5% per successful transaction, with no monthly or setup fees. Processor, FX, payout, bank, and country-specific fees may apply on top, charged by the relevant partner. See the Pricing page for a sample breakdown.
Which processors and banks does PayKato use?
PayKato is built to integrate with licensed payment processors and banking partners. Specific processors and availability are confirmed during merchant onboarding based on country, merchant category, and partner approval.
